On December 15th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology conditionally approved two L3-level autonomous driving vehicle models: the Changan SC7000AAARBEV and the ARCFOX BJ7001A61NBEV. The Changan model is capable of autonomous driving in congested conditions on specific road segments in Chongqing, reaching a top speed of 50 km/h. Meanwhile, the ARCFOX model can perform single-lane autonomous driving on designated sections of highways and urban expressways in Beijing, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h. This development signifies the official shift of China's autonomous vehicle sector from the 'technical verification' stage to the 'mass production application' stage.
