According to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Blue Book: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Manufacturing Industry Development Report (2025), the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has solidified its position as a pivotal base for new energy and smart connected vehicles within China. In 2024, the combined automobile output across the three areas soared to 2.85 million units, marking an 11.8% year-on-year surge. Production of new energy vehicles skyrocketed to 676,000 units, experiencing a remarkable 154% increase compared to the previous year. The industrial output value surpassed 840 billion yuan, establishing it as the "pacesetter industry" within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei manufacturing landscape. Each of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei has carved out its unique niche in the automotive industry's development. Concurrently, the manufacturing industry chain in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is exhibiting robust growth, while the new energy storage sector has forged a tiered collaborative framework. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is poised to leverage the coordinated development strategy, concentrate on competitive industries, amalgamate resource elements, and construct a modern industrial system.
