Celeste Ecoflyers, a French startup specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has introduced the dAS10 fixed-wing UAV, which boasts a distinctive design featuring inflatable fabric wings. This design marks a departure from the conventional rigid skin and internal rib framework. Test flights have successfully demonstrated that the inflatable wings generate ample aerodynamic lift in real-world weather conditions. The dAS10 UAV measures 8 meters in length and can fly for up to 6 hours on battery power alone, covering a standard range of 300 kilometers. To further enhance its endurance, solar panels are mounted atop the fuselage, allowing for daytime recharging and prolonged flight times. Its wings are designed to be foldable, facilitating easy transportation. Moreover, in the event of damage, the wings can be swiftly repaired using simple patches, significantly simplifying field logistical support compared to traditional fixed-wing UAVs. The dAS10 UAV has been officially registered with the French Civil Aviation Authority and integrated into the local UAV management and control system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
