A staff member, @Xiaoge, from Honor's All-Scenario Product Line at Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., has revealed the PC-style desktop interface of the Honor tablet. This new UI stands out distinctly from the current tablet desktop, incorporating elements reminiscent of a traditional PC desktop. It allows users to place standard App icons, widgets, and features a permanent Dock bar at the bottom of the screen, along with a transparency mode for enhanced visual appeal. Xiaoge also disclosed that the domestic version of the MagicPad 4 is set to launch soon, although its name will undergo some changes. Presently, Honor tablets already support PC versions of popular applications like WPS and CapCut. Furthermore, the MagicPad 3 Pro is slated to receive a software update in May. Earlier, Honor had outlined its strategy to elevate tablet functionality to PC-level standards, encompassing PC-like interactions, support for PC-grade applications, an open Linux desktop environment, and a dedicated gaming geek mode.
