Over the next few weeks, Apple is set to roll out a range of new products, including the iPhone 17e, the latest iPad 12, iPad Air 8, and MacBooks powered by M5 Pro or Max chips. In addition, major software updates are on the way, such as iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.3. The iPhone 17e, a successor to the iPhone 16e, will feature the A19 chip and retain a starting price of $599, primarily targeting emerging markets and corporate clients. The iPad lineup will primarily see processor enhancements. For Macs, besides several new models, a “budget-friendly MacBook” will also make its debut. Regarding software upgrades, iOS 26.4 will introduce enhanced Siri capabilities, while Apple is also striving to boost the foundational performance of iOS 27. In the latter half of the year, a foldable iPhone will also be among Apple’s flagship offerings. During a company-wide meeting, Cook addressed topics such as holiday sales performance and AI, stressed the significance of immigration, and noted that Apple will persist in lobbying lawmakers. Moreover, Cook mentioned Apple’s acquisition of the Israeli AI startup Q.ai. As for service adjustments, Apple has discontinued the “Health Coach” service, with some of its features set to be incorporated into the Health app, while the future of Fitness+ remains under consideration. During the Q&A session, it was also disclosed that iOS 26.3 is mainly a minor update to comply with EU regulations.
