Shanghai Traffic Management: Temporary Closure of G40 Yangtze River Bridge from 18:00 Due to Typhoon "Prapiroon"

In response to Typhoon "Prapiroon," the coastal region of Fengxian District in Shanghai has experienced severe wind conditions. Consequently, the municipal public security traffic management department has taken precautionary measures and will temporarily close the G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway Yangtze River Bridge from 18:00 on July 30. This closure is necessitated by wind speeds reaching Category 10, ensuring the safety of all travelers. The detailed traffic control plan is outlined below:
- Vehicles destined for Chongming and Qidong from the urban area must exit the expressway at Changxing Island and make their return journey from there.
- Only vehicles traveling towards the urban area are permitted to enter via the Changxing Island entrance.
- The section of the expressway connecting Qidong, Jiangsu, to Shanghai is also closed.
