On July 29, local time, Turkish Airlines flight TK-2430, a Boeing 777-300, faced a mid-air emergency while en route from Istanbul to Antalya. Upon landing at Antalya Airport, during taxiing, smoke was observed emanating from the landing gear, a sighting promptly reported by air traffic controllers to the pilots. Subsequently, the aircraft was directed to make an emergency landing, whereupon the crew swiftly arranged for the evacuation of all passengers using the emergency slides. Fortunately, all 260 individuals on board, including the crew, were unharmed. Initial investigations have indicated that the smoke was the result of a hydraulic line failure. The aircraft is currently undergoing a thorough inspection, and a replacement plane has been arranged to operate the return flight.
