From July 25th to 26th, Fuping County in Baoding City, Hebei Province, was ravaged by unprecedented rainfall, recording an average precipitation of 140.5 millimeters, a peak single-station rainfall of 532 millimeters, and a staggering maximum hourly rainfall intensity of 145 millimeters, all surpassing historical records. By 18:00 on the 26th, the deluge had impacted 46,235 individuals across six townships in the county, resulting in two fatalities and two individuals still missing. Additionally, 4,655 people were evacuated to ensure their safety. This rainfall event was marked by its brevity, intense force, and extreme destructiveness.
