Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has unveiled a long-term plan titled "Streamlining Ethereum," aiming to completely restructure the protocol over the next three to four years. The goal is to enable Ethereum to surpass traditional blockchain ledgers by increasing transaction throughput by approximately 1000-fold before 2030. The plan introduces technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs to enhance privacy protection and quantum resistance, while optimizing the underlying state storage to combine 2TB of traditional dynamic state data with 100TB of new scalable storage. This initiative seeks to establish Ethereum as a cryptographic verification-driven infrastructure, expanding its potential applications in financial and social systems.
