Boeing has discovered a previously undisclosed software glitch in the 737 MAX, originating from a cockpit software update, which could potentially cause the automatic navigation function to fail during landing. This issue may be triggered when the flight crew alters the predetermined flight path after a go-around, potentially leaving pilots unable to use automatic flight guidance in specific landing scenarios.
