On September 25, as reported by Business Insider, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, clarified that the development of the camera-free version of AI Ray-Ban glasses commenced well before any controversy arose. Its launch was not a reaction to the criticism directed at the camera-equipped model, which had been dubbed "pervert glasses" by some. This latest iteration of the glasses, devoid of a camera, enables users to enjoy music, make phone calls, and engage in conversations with the Muse AI assistant. Notably lighter in design, it is available in two distinct styles and is priced starting at $349. Pre-sales are set to commence on October 13.
