The Fuyao University of Science and Technology - Nova Nuclear Fusion Innovation Research Institute, along with the Fuyao University of Science and Technology - Nova Nuclear Fusion Innovation Laboratory, has been officially inaugurated. These institutions are the result of a collaborative effort between Fujian Fuyao University of Science and Technology and Nova Fusion Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Serving as a state-of-the-art fusion research platform, the research institute is dedicated to exploring cutting-edge engineering technologies and tackling key scientific challenges in the realm of controllable nuclear fusion. Meanwhile, the laboratory undertakes the responsibilities of project R&D, pilot-scale testing, and the conversion of research findings into practical applications. It acts as a catalyst for the engineering and industrial application of the institute's research outcomes, fostering a seamless integration across the entire value chain.
Guo Houyang holds the dual positions of dean at the research institute and director of the laboratory.
