On May 22, Enjie Shares (002812.SZ) revealed that its controlling subsidiary, Shanghai Enjie, has chosen to halt the investment project aimed at constructing lithium battery separator membranes in Malaysia. Initially, the project was set to boast an annual production capacity of around 1 billion square meters, with an estimated total investment of RMB 2 billion. However, due to shifts in the external market environment and the competitive dynamics within the industry, alongside the company's actual operational status and overarching strategic vision, after meticulous deliberation and comprehensive assessment, the company has opted to recalibrate its investment approach. Consequently, it has decided to terminate the Malaysian project, a move designed to enhance resource allocation efficiency and mitigate investment risks.
At present, the project has not initiated any construction or investment activities. Therefore, this strategic adjustment is not anticipated to exert a substantial negative influence on the company's financial standing or operational outcomes.
