On December 25, the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal Government made an announcement: the 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon is set to kick off at 7:30 AM on April 19, under the theme “Yizhuang Leads the Charge.” This unique event will run concurrently with the Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon, embracing a “human-robot co-running” format. In this format, human runners and humanoid robots will take off simultaneously, sharing the same racecourse. However, to ensure safety and smooth running, they will be separated by iron barriers or green belts.

The humanoid robot half marathon will be divided into two categories: an autonomous navigation group and a remote-control group. These groups will compete side by side, with a mixed timing system in place to accurately record their performances. Now, the registration channel for this groundbreaking event is officially open. Innovative teams from across the globe are invited to sign up through the official “Yijingpai” event website or via the “Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon” WeChat public account.
