On July 20, Tao Qing, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that the ministry will focus on three key areas to propel the construction of a digital China and foster the growth of the intelligent economy. These areas include: reinforcing policy and planning guidance to expedite the execution of pertinent plans; deepening application demonstration and outreach efforts by initiating campaigns to gather exemplary cases; and actively strategizing for emerging industries. This involves nurturing new growth drivers such as photonics and spatiotemporal information, accelerating the deployment of integrated computing and power infrastructure, and promoting the high-caliber development of the electronic information manufacturing sector.
