According to reports, TSMC's construction process for the 1.4-nanometer factory expansion at its Central Taiwan Science Park (Phase II) has been fully accelerated. Currently, the steel structure of the first factory (P1) has been completed, with trial production expected in April next year and mass production in the second half of the year. TSMC has applied to build two temporary offices on the site, which are expected to be completed simultaneously in April next year, at which point over 5,400 operational and outsourced personnel will be stationed there. This means that the mass production timeline for the P1 factory has been significantly advanced from the originally planned 2028.
