MediaTek is gearing up to introduce its inaugural flagship Dimensity Pro chipset on September 15, marking substantial progress in three pivotal domains: energy efficiency, gaming, and imaging prowess. The chipset leverages DTCO process technology, seamlessly integrating AI with GPU graphics rendering and incorporating an enhanced StarSpeed Engine. This setup enables ultra-high-speed slow-motion video capture at an impressive 4K resolution and 240 frames per second. The upcoming launch event is anticipated to showcase the Dimensity 9600 series, encompassing both standard and Pro iterations. The standard variant will be an upgraded Dimensity 9500, fabricated using TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm process. Meanwhile, the Pro version will employ TSMC's second-generation 2nm N2P process, representing MediaTek's maiden foray into 2nm mobile chipsets. In comparison to the N3E process, the N2P process offers up to an 18% boost in performance at equivalent power consumption levels, and it reduces power consumption by roughly 36% when operating at the same speed.
