During its semi-annual performance briefing, Yandong Micro announced its strategic positioning within the silicon photonics industry's innovation ecosystem, with a primary focus on the development of optical chips and specialized processes. This strategic move has successfully drawn in a number of new customers, further strengthening its industrial collaborations. The company has set up a domestically top-tier mass production line for an 8-inch SiN platform, witnessing a notable boost in yield. By the first half of the year, this production line had achieved a monthly capacity of 3,000 wafers. From a technological standpoint, the performance of both SiN waveguides and Si waveguides has attained advanced industry standards. Moreover, the 12-inch metalens project has surmounted technical hurdles and now stands at the cutting edge of the industry.
