NVIDIA's launch of DLSS 5 neural rendering technology has sparked innovation in the realm of PC gaming graphics. Lately, developer maohgad-web has ingeniously leveraged a ReShade plugin Mod to distribute the post-processing tasks of the DLSS 5 neural network across multiple GPUs. (Note: Here, 'distribute' is employed to convey the concept of allocating tasks among GPUs in a more technical and precise manner, replacing the previously used 'diversion'.) This approach doesn't involve frame splitting or duplication; rather, it intercepts the rendered frame data and forwards it to a secondary GPU for processing. This effectively enhances graphics processing efficiency and lowers the temperature of the primary GPU. Although the plugin is presently in the open-source research phase with certain usage constraints, it offers a fresh perspective on the parallel operation of multiple GPUs.
