The global DRAM market is currently riding an unprecedented wave of price surges. Since July 2025, DRAM prices have been on a relentless upward trajectory, with most product categories witnessing price hikes exceeding 100%. According to TrendForce's forecast, in the first quarter of 2026, contract prices for general-purpose DRAM are projected to climb by 55 - 60% on a quarter-by-quarter basis, while contract prices for NAND Flash are expected to rise by 33 - 38%. This current round of price hikes can be mainly attributed to DRAM manufacturers redirecting their production capacity towards servers and high-bandwidth memory (HBM). As a result, the supply in the consumer market has become increasingly tight.
