At the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), AMD officially introduced the Ryzen AI 400 series processors, internally codenamed Gorgon Point. This new series not only encompasses the mobile versions but also marks the first inclusion of a desktop variant. Built on the Zen 5+RDNA 3.5 architecture, the Ryzen AI 400 series processors offer configurations with up to 12 cores and 24 threads, accompanied by a substantial 36MB of L2+L3 cache. Both the CPU and GPU frequencies have received significant enhancements, reaching impressive speeds of up to 5.2GHz for the CPU and 3.1GHz for the GPU. Additionally, the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivers a powerful 60 AI TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second). When it comes to memory support, these processors are capable of handling speeds up to 8533MT/s and are readily compatible with AMD ROCm, right out of the box.
