Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao had a meeting with Spanish Secretary of State for Economy, Trade, and Business Affairs Queirpo. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged in-depth views on the economic and trade relations between China and Spain, as well as between China and the European Union (EU). Minister Wang Wentao emphasized that the economic and trade relations between China and Spain are robust and stable. He extended a warm welcome to European enterprises, encouraging them to further expand their cooperation with China. In light of the Netherlands' inappropriate intervention in the affairs of Nexperia, China has undertaken substantial efforts and will persist in communicating with the Dutch side, with the hope that they will retract the relevant measures. Secretary Queirpo stated that Spain places great significance on the economic and trade cooperation between Spain and China. Spanish pork companies hold an optimistic outlook on the Chinese market, and Spain is willing to engage in dialogue with the Dutch side regarding the Nexperia issue.
