During the midday trading break, all three major A-share indices witnessed a collective upswing. The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.88%, the Shenzhen Component Index advanced 1.39%, and the ChiNext Index also posted a 1.39% gain. In terms of sectoral performance, basic metals, semiconductors, and computer hardware stood out as the frontrunners, propelling the overall market gains. Notably, Longda shares soared by over 15%, Eastern Rising Sun surged by more than 8%, and Sugon jumped by over 7%. On the flip side, the forestry, catering and tourism, and cultural media sectors faced a downturn. Specifically, Pingtan Development plummeted by over 9%, Caissa Touristic tumbled by more than 8%, and Mango TV dipped by over 4%.
