On September 30, 2025, the Dutch government took over Nexperia Semiconductor, a subsidiary of Chinese-owned Wingtech Technology, under the 'Commodity Supply Law.' It froze the company's assets, intellectual property, and other adjustments for one year, while demanding the appointment of foreign directors and the custodianship of shares. On October 17, employees of Nexperia Semiconductor's China division reported that their system access had been completely cut off and that labor payments were no longer being made. Subsequently, the China division took self-rescue measures by connecting with the domestic supply chain. On October 18, Wingtech Technology responded that the reason for the account suspension of the Chinese team remained unclear, though partial restoration had occurred, and did not directly address the reports of halted wages.
