On October 11, Ronbay Technology issued a response regarding the potential impact of the Ministry of Commerce's export control policies on advanced battery materials, including lithium-rich manganese-based, high-nickel, ultra-high-nickel, and solid-state battery technologies, as outlined in its latest research briefing. The company clarified that the policy specifically targets battery cells with an energy density exceeding 300Wh/kg—a category encompassing ultra-high-nickel, semi-solid, and solid-state batteries—while excluding conventional ternary cathode material batteries and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from these restrictions.

Ronbay Technology emphasized that its current core product portfolio remains unaffected by the policy in both domestic and international markets. The company urged stakeholders to maintain an optimistic outlook on the industry's trajectory, highlighting China's competitive edge in lithium-ion batteries, new energy vehicles (NEVs), and energy storage systems. Notably, the export of downstream products such as finished batteries, energy storage solutions, and electric vehicles remains unrestricted, a factor expected to bolster growth across the material supply chain. Ronbay Technology concluded by calling on market participants to interpret the policy through a constructive lens.
