At the press briefing for the "2025 Greater Bay Area Semiconductor Industry Ecosystem Expo," it was announced that in 2024, Shenzhen's semiconductor and integrated circuit sector achieved a scale of 256.4 billion yuan, marking a notable 26.8% year-on-year surge. As we moved into the first half of 2025, the industry sustained its robust expansion, reaching a scale of 142.4 billion yuan, which translates to a 16.9% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Guo Ziping, the Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission, emphasized that the ecosystem of Shenzhen's semiconductor and integrated circuit industry has undergone continuous refinement, thanks to the synergistic interplay of policies, financial support, talent acquisition, and platform development. This concerted effort has yielded outstanding outcomes, propelling Shenzhen steadily towards its goal of becoming a globally renowned center for industrial innovation and growth.
