Intel has achieved a significant milestone in its strategic deployment within the high-end graphics card sector, with the upcoming release of its new-generation Arc B770 graphics card on the horizon. Earlier, Intel confirmed its plans to introduce the Battlemage series of standalone graphics cards, a lineup poised to outperform the existing Arc B580 models. The BMG-G31 chip, a focal point of persistent speculation, is widely anticipated to power the B770.
Recently, a shipping document came to light, indicating that Intel dispatched packaging boxes, measuring 390×189×83 millimeters, around June of this year. These dimensions closely mirror those of the packaging for the Arc B580. However, the BMG-G31 chip is rumored to boast a higher core count. Industry insiders speculate that the Arc B770 will feature 32 Xe2 cores, 16GB of memory, and a 256-bit memory bus width. Given these enhancements, it's plausible that the actual size of the B770 may slightly exceed that of the Arc B580.
Considering the historical precedent set by the Arc B580, which was released roughly 2.5 months after its packaging was first spotted in a shipping document, it is reasonable to expect that Intel will unveil the Arc B770 by the end of 2025. Moreover, Intel has outlined plans to introduce a productivity-focused variant of the Battlemage graphics card, equipped with 24GB of memory. This new offering is tailored to meet the demands of data centers, edge server rooms, educational and scientific research institutions, as well as personal development projects.
