On July 16, TrendForce announced that the United States might permit NVIDIA to resume sales of its H100 GPUs to China. This policy reversal is anticipated to spark a resurgence in demand within China's AI and cloud sectors, reestablishing the H100 as the cornerstone of high-end AI chips in the market and fostering parallel growth in the demand for HBM. In light of the current scenario, TrendForce forecasts that NVIDIA may expedite efforts to meet its original shipment targets, consequently elevating the share of outsourced NVIDIA, AMD, and other chips in China's AI market to 49%, a notable increase from the previous estimate of approximately 42% amid the export restrictions.
