Meta, under the leadership of Mark Zuckerberg, has recently poached two prominent researchers, Jason Wei and Hyung Won Chung, from OpenAI. They will now be contributing to Meta's newly minted Super Intelligence Lab. Wired magazine reported on Tuesday, citing multiple sources, that Wei and Chung's internal Slack accounts at OpenAI had been deactivated. Earlier reports indicated that Meta had offered attractive compensation packages to AI experts, including those employed at OpenAI, in a bid to attract top talent in the field.
