On May 18, 2026, the Delhi High Court in India required Apple Inc. to fully cooperate with an investigation into an antitrust case concerning the iPhone app market, rejecting its request to suspend the proceedings. Apple has been accused of abusing its market dominance. Previously, the Competition Commission of India proposed to calculate fines based on Apple's global revenue, which could reach up to $38 billion, in accordance with the amended Competition Act of 2024. Apple argues that this calculation method is unreasonable and has raised legal objections. However, the court has required it to cooperate with the investigation first and stipulated that the Competition Commission of India must not issue a final ruling before July 15 at the latest.
