On April 19, 2026, the inaugural humanoid robot marathon brand event, the Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon & Humanoid Robot Half Marathon, commenced with the firing of a starting gun. The scale of this year's event had expanded nearly five times compared to the previous year, drawing over 100 teams from 11 provinces across China. Among the participants were leading companies such as Honor and Unitree, prestigious universities and research institutions like Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as five international teams hailing from Germany, France, and other nations. The technological categories encompassed autonomous navigation and remote control, with autonomous navigation accounting for nearly 40% of the total entries. Ultimately, the Qitiandasheng Team emerged victorious, completing the race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, a time that eclipsed the human half-marathon world record. This event not only highlighted China's remarkable progress in humanoid robotics, particularly in motion control and energy management, but also facilitated the validation of robotics technology and fostered collaborative industrial development.
