The Information Office of the State Council convened a press conference to provide an overview of industrial and information technology advancements during the first quarter of 2026. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, highlighted that during this period, industrial technological innovation was propelled forward, unlocking growth potential and fostering the seamless integration of mass entrepreneurship with innovation. Notably, the first cohort of 21 national-level pilot platforms for the manufacturing sector, along with 14 premier technology business incubators, were selected, paving the way for the effective commercialization of research findings. In the same quarter, the release of 304 industrial standards was witnessed, and the added value of high-tech manufacturing industries above a designated size witnessed a significant 12.5% year-on-year increase. Furthermore, the integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, into the consumer electronics industry spurred its rapid expansion.
