Yang Yuanqing, the Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, has made a personal donation of 200 million yuan to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This generous contribution is earmarked for the renovation of the third teaching building on the Xuhui Campus, with a particular emphasis on promoting scientific research innovation and nurturing talent in the field of artificial intelligence. On the same day, Lenovo Group entered into a Strategic Cooperation 2.0 Agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, pledging an investment of 300 million yuan over the next five years to foster closer industry-university ties.

This donation marks Yang Yuanqing's third personal contribution aimed at bolstering the university's growth and development. The newly established partnership is set to deepen collaborative efforts in scientific research, talent development, and entrepreneurship incubation.

Since their initial collaboration in 2021, Lenovo has invested a cumulative total of over 200 million yuan, resulting in numerous successful outcomes. Following the signing ceremony, Shanghai Jiao Tong University organized a roundtable discussion among prominent AI entrepreneurs.
