According to reports, Apple is set to unveil a revolutionary new iteration of Siri (internally codenamed Campo) alongside an enhanced liquid glass UI control feature at its 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The new Siri, initially slated for a debut in the developer betas of iOS 26.4 and macOS Tahoe, has had its release pushed back to coincide with the conference. It will bid farewell to traditional interaction methods, embracing a cutting-edge chatbot interface instead. Earlier this year, in January, Apple forged a partnership with Google to construct a new model based on the Google Gemini model, for which Apple is paying an estimated annual fee of $1 billion. This AI upgrade will span across the iOS, iPadOS, and macOS ecosystems, promising a unified and enhanced user experience. Furthermore, Apple is set to introduce more refined control permissions for the liquid glass interface. This includes the addition of global sliders that allow users to adjust the display intensity of glass effects. Previously, a similar functionality was limited to the lock screen clock, but it was not implemented on a global scale. With this technological leap, users will gain precise control over the glass texture of various interfaces, such as app folders, enhancing the overall aesthetic and customization options. However, it's worth noting that the new Siri and global UI adjustment features will not be making their debut in iOS 26. Users will have to exercise a bit of patience and wait for the release of iOS 27 to fully immerse themselves in these exciting new functionalities.
