On February 12, Yang Yuanqing, the Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, shared insights during an earnings briefing. He noted that the current ratio of computing demand between AI training and inference stands at 7:3, with an anticipated shift to 2:8 in the future. This transition, he emphasized, hinges on the broad and inclusive adoption of AI technologies. Yang also highlighted that escalating prices for components like memory and CPUs are likely to drive up the costs of PCs and smartphones, potentially dampening consumer demand. Looking ahead to 2026, he foresees that PC sales volumes may either remain steady or experience a slight decline. However, he also predicted that overall sales revenue will continue to rise, thanks to an increase in the average selling price of PCs.
