In August 2025, Anthropic made a significant announcement: the memory function of its AI offering, Claude, is now accessible to individual paid subscribers. This development signals Claude's stride to match the functionalities of leading AI models like ChatGPT and Gemini. Initially rolled out to team and enterprise clients last month, this capability is now being incrementally extended to Max plan subscribers, with intentions to introduce it to Pro plan users in the upcoming two weeks. Claude's memory function empowers users to recall previous conversation details, facilitates cross-device synchronization, and activates solely upon explicit user command.
