Recently, at the invitation of the UK's Institute of Physics, Professor Chen Weijin's research team from the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Magnetoelectric Property Analysis and Devices at Sun Yat-sen University published a review article entitled "Dynamics of magnetic skyrmions under steady and time-varying deformation" in Reports on Progress in Physics. This paper offers a comprehensive overview of the dynamic characteristics of magnetic skyrmions when subjected to both static and dynamic deformations. It underscores the immense potential of "deformation engineering" in enhancing device performance and paving the way for innovative device applications.
