Data from the Huawei App Market reveals that the number of installations for WeChat's Hongmeng version app has soared past 18 million. Earlier milestones include surpassing 10 million installations on July 27 and hitting 15 million by September 11. The app recently rolled out its 1.0.11.34 update, with a testing phase scheduled from September 26 to October 25, 2025. Among the new features are real-time location sharing and the ability to translate text in Moments pictures via long-press. Launched on the Huawei Hongmeng App Market in January of this year, the app supports a range of key functions. Notably, biometric authentication for flagship models has been fully implemented, offering comprehensive support for facial and fingerprint recognition payments, aligning with modern security standards and user convenience expectations.
