OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank have jointly unveiled plans to construct five state-of-the-art artificial intelligence data centers across the United States. This ambitious endeavor is backed by an estimated investment exceeding $400 billion over the next three years, with the total computing capacity projected to soar to nearly 7 gigawatts and eventually expand to an impressive 10 gigawatts.

This grand project forms a pivotal part of the artificial intelligence infrastructure initiative, codenamed 'Stargate,' which envisions a staggering total investment of $500 billion. OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank will strategically establish new facilities in multiple locations, collectively achieving a capacity of nearly 7 gigawatts within the next three years.

The initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 25,000 on-site jobs, a move that aligns with the job creation goals previously championed by Trump. In a parallel development, NVIDIA has declared its intention to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI. The combined energy consumption of this collaborative effort is expected to surpass 10 gigawatts.

However, the market has voiced reservations regarding the magnitude of this investment, expressing concerns that it could potentially intensify 'circular transactions' and inflate valuation bubbles within the AI industry chain.
