From April 1st to 30th, the national passenger car market witnessed retail sales of new energy vehicles reaching 922,000 units, marking a 37% year-on-year increase but a 7% decline from the previous month. The retail penetration rate stood at 52.3%. Since the start of the year, cumulative retail sales of new energy vehicles have amounted to 3.342 million units, representing a 37% year-on-year growth. Concurrently, nationwide passenger car manufacturers reported wholesale sales of 1.142 million new energy vehicles during the same period, a 41% year-on-year surge and a 1% increase from the previous month, with a wholesale penetration rate of 53.9%. Cumulatively, wholesale sales since the beginning of the year have reached 3.99 million units, up 42% year-on-year.
