In a Thursday analyst conference call, German automaker BMW disclosed that it is contemplating the introduction of additional shifts at its South Carolina plant in Spartanburg, aiming to augment production by approximately 80,000 vehicles. According to a conference note from Bernstein Research, which was verified by BMW, company executives informed analysts that the firm currently holds around 30 days' worth of inventory and spare parts in the United States. They further indicated that BMW intends to maintain price stability for most American models until the close of May.
