At the 22nd China Automotive Industry Development (Teda) International Forum, Tan Huan, the Chief Expert at Changan Automobile and General Manager of Changan Tianshu Intelligent Robotics Company, shared his insights. He emphasized that AI is propelling a fundamental shift in infrastructure, centered around embodied physical intelligence. In the not-too-distant future, cars will evolve into intelligent entities, essentially 'automotive robots' endowed with self-learning, self-organizing, and self-evolving capabilities.
Changan Automobile's strategy for robot deployment is a phased approach. Initially, it focuses on modularizing automotive components. Subsequently, it aims to progressively expand its reach across various segments and extreme scenarios within the mobility ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to establish a comprehensive, full-cycle process where robots are instrumental in every stage—from building and selling cars to providing after-sales services. This vision extends even further, envisioning a future where robots are not only used to manufacture cars but also to produce other robots and potentially everything else, thereby forging a multi-scenario intelligent mobility industry ecosystem.
In April of this year, Changan Tianshu Intelligent Robotics Company was founded, setting forth the strategic ambition to 'reshape the mobility ecosystem through embodied intelligence.'
