On July 19, news emerged that Tesla has acknowledged a robust surge in market demand within Germany this year. Consequently, the company is set to not only expand into new markets but also boost production at its Grünheide factory in Germany. In its 2025 annual report, Tesla's Brandenburg Manufacturing Company revealed that production during the 2026 fiscal year is expected to witness a substantial uptick compared to the preceding year, accompanied by a parallel enhancement in capacity utilization. Presently, the factory caters to over 30 markets globally, with the Model Y sports SUV's popularity acting as a key driver behind the factory's expansion. As per the German Press Agency, Tesla is poised to elevate weekly production at the Grünheide factory to a peak of 7,500 units (translating to an approximate annual output of 375,000 units), alongside augmenting local battery production. This expansion in capacity is projected to generate an additional 3,500 job opportunities at the factory.
