Recently, a number of Xpeng X9 owners have encountered unexpected malfunctions in their vehicle's air suspension system. These issues encompass air leaks and body sagging, which have rendered the vehicles inoperable. According to the official explanation, these failures might stem from production process inconsistencies at the parts supplier's end. Such inconsistencies could potentially lead to gradual air leaks in the air spring chambers, especially when subjected to prolonged use in high-temperature conditions. In light of these concerns, Xpeng has proactively extended the warranty coverage for the front air spring system. The warranty period has been increased from the initial 5 years or 120,000 kilometers to an enhanced 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, ensuring protection regardless of any changes in vehicle ownership.
