Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit (BU), has proudly announced that Huawei's ADS (Advanced Driving System) has become the first in China to surpass a remarkable milestone of 10 billion kilometers in total cumulative assisted driving mileage. This achievement marks a significant doubling from the previous 5 billion kilometers, accomplished in a mere span of approximately 7 months. Looking ahead, the total sales of vehicle models equipped with ADS are projected to exceed 900,000 units by 2025, representing a tenfold increase over a two-year period. Moreover, the number of ADS installations is anticipated to surpass the 1 million mark by August 2025. As the usage scale continues to expand, the safety capabilities inherent in intelligent driving systems are also witnessing consistent enhancements. Specifically, from January to February of this year, the ADS safe driving mileage multiplier experienced a notable 10% increase. Furthermore, the ADS 5 beta version has undergone extensive 'road testing' for over a month, with the WEWA 2.0 system delivering dual improvements in both user experience and safety. This advancement significantly boosts urban traffic efficiency, and it is expected that the proportion of assisted driving mileage within urban areas will witness a substantial increase.
