The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government has recently rolled out the "Guangzhou Blueprint for Accelerating the Development of a Premier Advanced Manufacturing Hub (2024 - 2035)". This blueprint outlines a strategic vision to foster the creation of a demonstration zone dedicated to intelligent connected vehicles and intelligent transportation solutions, leveraging the power of broadband mobile internet. It also aims to expedite the establishment of a national-level 5G vehicle networking pilot zone.
Moreover, the blueprint advocates for groundbreaking initiatives in deploying autonomous driving demonstration applications within the public transport sector, with the ambition of crafting globally recognized and impactful showcase projects. Beyond that, the plan backs the setup of diverse testing environments for intelligent connected vehicles, encompassing closed, semi-open, and fully open zones. It accelerates the road testing procedures for these vehicles and drives forward the advancement of pertinent technologies, including intelligent cockpit systems, in-car entertainment solutions, climate control mechanisms, tire pressure monitoring, advanced driver assistance systems, and vehicle networking capabilities.
