The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government has issued the 'Guangzhou Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a Strong City in Advanced Manufacturing (2024-2035).' The plan clearly sets the goal of 'doubling industrial added value by 2035,' accelerating the process of new-type industrialization, and focusing on cultivating 15 strategic industrial clusters. Among them, six industries—intelligent connected new energy vehicles, ultra-high-definition video and new displays, biomedicine and health, green petrochemicals and new materials, software and the internet, and intelligent equipment and robots—have been identified as emerging pillar industries. Additionally, the plan proposes accelerating the cultivation of five strategic leading industries, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and integrated circuits, new energy and novel energy storage, low-altitude economy and aerospace, and biological manufacturing, as well as expanding and strengthening four characteristic and competitive industries: fashion consumer goods, rail transit, ships and marine engineering, and intelligent construction and industrialized architecture.
