On Tuesday, Steve Gordon, the Director of the California Department of Motor Vehicles, announced at a press conference that the state of California is set to impose a 30-day sales suspension on Tesla. This decision stems from allegations that Tesla's marketing of its assisted driving features is misleading consumers. Gordon noted that the department has chosen to follow the penalty recommendation put forth by an administrative judge. However, the suspension order will not go into effect for another 90 days, providing Tesla with a window to make necessary adjustments to comply with regulations.
