Samsung Display to Supply 15 Million Foldable OLED Panels to Apple in 2027

Samsung Display has unveiled its new business plan, revealing a significant increase in the supply of foldable OLED panels and iPad OLED panels to Apple next year. Specifically, the supply of foldable OLED panels will rise from 8 million units this year to 15 million units, marking an 87.5% increase; iPad OLED panels will increase from 2 million units to 9 million units. Combined, the total supply will surge from approximately 10 million units this year to 24 million units. Apple remains a key customer for Samsung Display's small and medium-sized OLED panel business. This year, the demand for OLED panels for the iPhone series is estimated at 264.7 million units, with Samsung Display expected to supply around 144 million units, and the supply volume is projected to reach approximately 148 million units next year. Additionally, Apple plans to launch its first foldable iPhone, for which Samsung Display will provide 7.8-inch foldable OLED panels. The foldable display and iPad OLED markets are seen as new growth areas and will serve as significant drivers for Samsung Display's small and medium-sized OLED business.
