Apple has officially launched its latest flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and released the cellular network hardware specifications for the series across different global markets. Technical support data reveals that in 12 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, and Japan, the iPhone 18 Pro series will exclusively support eSIM, eliminating the physical SIM card slot. This configuration remains the same as last year's iPhone 17 Pro series, indicating that Apple has not expanded the coverage of eSIM-only models for its Pro lineup this year.
